What is personal information?
A personal information is information or an assessment that can be linked to an individual, such as (not exhaustive list):
- phone number,
- e-mail address,
- IP adress,
- car number,
- iris pattern,
- DNA profile,
- head shape (for face recognition), and
- birth number (both date of birth and social security number).
Behavioral information is also considered personal information. Information about what you shop for, which stores you go to, which TV series you watch, where you move during a day and what you search for online are all personal information. One of the challenges for privacy is that we leave so many digital traces. This information is often used commercially without your consent.
Sensitive personal information is information about:
racial or ethnic background, or political, philosophical or religious beliefs,
that a person has been suspected, charged, indicted or convicted of a criminal offense,
sexual relations, or
membership in trade unions
Statistics and visitors
We use the analysis tool Googe Analytics on our website. Google Analytics is a tool that is installed on a separate server at the operating provider (Google.no).
The statistics from Google Analytics are used to be able to keep track of the number of visits and which pages on the web portal are used the most. Publication of information from this service will never be able to leave traces back to users. We also respect "Do Not Track" settings in the user's browser (applies to the X-Do-Not-Track and DNT headers). The Do Not Track feature is included with most new browsers. The purpose of this is to compile statistics that we use to improve and further develop the information offered on our website. Examples of what the statistics give us answers to are; how many people visit different pages, how long the visit lasts, the geography the users come from and which browsers are used.
To secure the website, we use a so-called firewall. In short, firewalls are used to scan unwanted traffic and attacks on the Web site. If the firewall filter stops any suspicious packets or incidents, they are denied access to the computer system.
Firewalls are important in stopping traffic that is either dangerous or has sinister intentions from passing through the network.
The firewall system logs the IP address of all attacks on the website. Serious computer attacks are reported to the police. The police receive information that has been logged. The system does not log normal traffic to the website. For returning users, each time a user visits your site, it extends the expiration date to two years from the last date. Joomla Core Capabilities

The reCAPTCHA and Invisible reCAPTCHA plugin integrates with Google's reCAPTCHA system as a spam protection service. As part of this service, the IP address of the user answering the captcha challenge is transmitted to Google.
System - Language Filter
On a site which supports multiple languages, this plugin can be configured to set a cookie on the user's browser which remembers their language preference. This cookie is used to redirect users to their preferred language when visiting the site and creating a new session. The cookie's name is based on a randomly generated hash and therefore does not have a constant identifier.
