Description

Askøy is an island and municipality in Midthordland in Vestland county. The island is surrounded by the fjords Herdlefjorden in the east/northeast, Hjeltefjorden in the west and Byfjorden in the south. The surrounding municipalities are Alver in the northeast, Bergen in the south/southeast, Øygarden municipality in the southwest and northwest.
